Going down to Oakdale

Its transfer week again. This time I'm headed down to Oakdale. I don't know much about it but what I do know is that I will be serving with Elder Ford I look forward to getting to know him. From what I've heard the temple is suppose to be in Oakdale so I might get to go to the temple at least once this transfer. But I think I'll leave the temple for the ward members so that the can do the work for the dead, my job is to do the work for the living so that they can do the work for the dead.

This transfer I don't feel as stressed as I did before, I actually feel calm and I know that I can do this. SO make way Oakdale Elder Hurds comin to town. I'll let you know how everything is down there next week for now I want to tell you about the cool things that happened last week.

Monday was Preparation day, and we got to start off the day with some service I think I explained what we did in my last Weekly Email so I'll go on from that. After service we went emailing shopping and then we just sat around till evening time. We had planned to visit some people 6 and 7:00 but they weren't home and the guy we wanted to visit at 7:00 doesn't want to meet with us any more. Oh well one door closes millions more open. Then we had family home evening with the Kerr family It was supper cool we got to talk a lot about how family home evening works and how they can do their FHE.

Tuesday was GREAT we went to Pillager and meet with some really cool people and had some awesome conversations. Then we went all of the way to Atkin with the Atkin branch president, President Decent, and he gave us some cool referrals and things like that. Our reason for going to Atkin is because they don't have missionaries and the wanted us to go with them to teach and bless an awesome lady named Cally Eklund and her daughter Emma Elund. The spirit was so strong in that apartment and when we gave the blessing to her daughter Emma it was so cool. It reminded me of when I got to stand in on the blessing Grandpa Monson and daddy Steve gave to Gabe before he went into his surgery.

The rest of my week was full of service and teaching sadly I gotta go soon so I'll try and abridge what I can and if I get the chance.

Sincerely
Elder Hurd.
