First Full week In River Falls

Hi guys guess what ITS SNOWING. And now were grounded till 3:00. Well at least its better than all day. Anyway I just finished my first full week in River Falls Wisconsin and it was super fun. We got to do all kinds of fun things.

On Monday we went shopping and emailing and all of our normal P-day stuff. We also got to eat lunch with our Zone Leaders in Hudson. Then actually got to take a nap first nap I have taken in a long time. Then we went around and tried to teach a bunch of people that Elder Ford knew. Sadly most of them didn't answer but we did get to spend the rest of our night with a guy named Mike who has a wizard beard and a crazy bird. For some reason he reminded me of my brother Gabe but only fifty years older. We didn't get to teach him much but we did get to listen to a lot of crazy stories.

Tuesday we had an awesome district meeting and I got to meet all of the people in my district. I don't have any pictures of them yet but you will have some eventually after I take them tomorrow and send them to you on my next P-day. Anyway district meeting was fun and we did a lot of role playing. We tried to stop by some other people who Elder Ford knew but most of them weren't home. When we got home we had dinner with the Taylor's who are the people we live with. Then we spent our evening trying to find some people to teach and we got to talk with a lot of really nice people and we planted some seeds of faith, or interest. Latter that evening we got to teach one of our really cool investigators named Joel Foster. We taught him about the word of wisdom and we committed him to live it, he told us he would and he gave us his cigarettes and we threw them away for him after we took some pictures of us throwing them away.

Wednesday- Saturday we spent some time planting seeds in the mission field AKA we went finding. We also checked up on a few of our current Investigators to see how they are doing.

Sunday was great we had three investigators to church and they seemed to be having a great time getting to know some of the members. After church we had a lunch in that everyone was calling the Linger Longer. It was pretty fun we got to have lots of great sandwiches and hot dishes and desserts. Then we went finding till dinner and we planted more seeds. Dinner was awesome we got to eat with a family in the ward, the Burton's, we all had a great time getting to know one another. We left them with a poem that Ford Read called the touch of the masters hand. Then we rushed back to River Falls so we could go with Joel to President Clements fire side where we got to listen to some really great testimonies and conversion stories told by recent converts. After wards Joel told us how that he felt like he had been waiting for us to find him for a long time. He is doing so well and I know that the Lord has prepared him for us to teach him by the power of the Holly Spirit.

Till next Monday

Sincerely
Elder Hurd
