On Monday we had a very slow P-day mainly because we now get a car every other week, and we had to wait for the elders we're sharing with to drive the car to us. Nevertheless having a car this week has really helped especially with the cold, we also get to our appointments fairly quick now. We spent that whole evening visiting people we would have never been able to get to without a car.
Tuesday is where the real crazy began. Elder Harker had to leave bright and early with all of the other district leaders/ zone leaders in our zone to go to Leadership training. I got to stay with the other district leader companions in my zone and together we formed an awesome tripanionship. We spent most of our morning in the Rochester 2 area because Elder Grodkovski wanted some help with his area. We got to go and visit some less active members and former investigators to see how they were doing, I think they may have been a little intimidated because there were three of us instead of two. As the day moved on we got a phone call from one of the members in Rochester 2nd Ward who wanted us to help her grandson with his homework. It was kinda nice to step back into the realm of school work, we did math which was supper easy, social studies, and a little science. We had lunch with them and then we went to my area and did some tracting for the rest of the afternoon. Sadly we couldn't go to Elder Taylor's area because he is in Lacrosse Wisconsin. For dinner we went to a members home, in Rochester 2nd Ward and had taco's. Then we went back to my apartment, because we got a call from the Wannona elders who told us that they would come and pick me up for new missionary training at 7:30. So I hurried and packed my carry on and left for Bloomington. We got to the mission home around 9:00, were I got back with Elder Harker, and we headed to the assistance apartment. It started snowing late that night and in to the next day.
Wednesday we woke up early and went to the nice residence gym that the assistance have. We worked out for an hour and then we headed back to the assistance apartment to prepare for the day. It was still snowing all that morning with no sign of stopping, because of this President Clements sent out a mass text to the whole northern part of the mission saying that all cars were grounded. I latter learned that some elders had attempted to drive in the snow to the church to play basket ball for their morning work out and crashed. We were grounded for quite some time then President called us and told the assistance to drive carefully to the new mission training he then told them to call the other training missionaries and do the same. I was so excited to see my friends from the MTC we had some fun catching up and sharing experiences, it was a good relief. We then had the new mission training.
I sincerely apologize but I am going to have to cut this one short today is our district P-day and we are going to Auston so I will finish this next time
Sincerely
Elder Hurd
