Great Christmas

This week has been absolutely amazing. We baptized a new family into the ward, Amy Kerr (the mom), Tyson Kerr, and Kane Kerr. We are still working on the Dad who is supper supportive of his families decision. It was so exciting to watch them be baptized. Elder Allen and I got to witness their baptism on Saturday and I got to stand in on all three of their confirmations on Sunday, and Elder Allen got to confirm one of the boys.

Any way Monday was awesome we got to find and meet with a whole bunch of cool people. Elder Allen and I got to Email and Shop for two hours because P-day was moved to Christmas. We had a blast anyway we both got ourselves some toques which is a really worm hat.

Tuesday wasn't to bad we got to head up to Pine river and we were looking for less active members to teach and check up on. We wanted to do some service for them because they live out in the sticks, far away from anyone. But most of them were all busy getting ready for Christmas so we just spent some time visiting part member families. Then we went to dinner at a members home and all I can say after that is that Minnesotans know how to cook venison.

On Wednesday we lounged around, opened up some awesome gifts, and got FAT. I got a whole bunch of great food and useful office supplies, that I've been needing for a while, I also got a few great toys. I really love the Cameroni and Cheese, thanks baby brother :). Even the Provo High Ballroom team sent me some goodies and letters. I really appreciate all of the thoughtful letters presents it really made my week.

Thursday and Friday we went on an exchange with our Zone Leaders In Sauk Rapids after our we had our district meeting. We got some good work done Thursday evening and I got to meet some of the members and investigators in Sauk Rapids. Friday morning we played basket ball for our morning exercise which was fun because we had a lot of people to play with. We got home Friday afternoon and visited with some Potential investigators. We also have some investigators on the path towards baptism. It is so fun to watch as their testimony's grow day by day. Like Alma and the primary song say faith is like a little seed if planted it will grow.

Saturday we got to Baptize the Kerr family and then we had a then we got to Hunt and fish for some investigators we caught a few hiding in the rocks, and some of them came into our nets. we got to do some good teaching and finding. We also got to listen to brother Simon's that he gave Sunday.

Sunday we got grounded because of the wind and we weren't aloud to go out unless we were going directly to appointments. Sadly we didn't have any so after church we went and gave the sacrament to an older lady who can't get out of her home. So what does any good missionary do when he's grounded he makes hats and does paper work, and eats ice cream because it was Sunday

Any way love you all hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and a happy new year.

Sincerely
Elder Hurd
