A Cold Week in Rochester Minnesota

My goodness the day's are already starting to blur together, this whole week has felt like a never ending day. But it sure has been a good week. I've been diligently trying to talk with everyone, which I have to say is not really a problem for me, my only problem now is thinking of good inspired questions to turn small talk into Gospel talk. Thats one of my goals this week Elder Harker and I are gonna work on transitioning our small talk into Gospel talk, so that we can teach more people about the restoration of the Gospel. Early on this week it snowed, I can't remember when because I was sleeping I think it was Tuesday night. But let me tell ya, snow, sun, bikes and freezing nights to not make a happy missionary. The snow was fine at first wasn't really a problem and for the most part we ignored it, then the sun melted it a little and after dinner it became a pain because guess what water does wen the temperature drops below freezing. It turns into ice and not just any ice black ice, I fell off my bike at least five times and my whole right side is bruised. Lucky for me my whole ward is comprised of doctors who all work for the Mayo clinic, so they help me get better.

On Monday we tracked and talked to some people and the over all day wasn't so interesting. But on Monday night we had dinner with one of the Studio C actors, Nattaly, turns out her Parents are in my ward and she and her family visit them frequently. So I was asking all sorts of questions that and for some reason I asked if Jeramy's mustache was real and ya that whole big monster stash is real turns our he can grow hair like none other. Tuesday and Wednesday were crazy because we went on exchanges with another team in our district we call them the Kasson Elders Thursday, Friday and Saturday were kind of like bounce back days so that we could get back into the grove of things. Last night was awesome we had dinner with an amazing family, the Jhonsons, they were supper nice and friendly and they are like missionary crazy they were given us referrals asking if we needed anything and inviting us to practice teaching it was awesome.

I'm almost out of email time found out that I get a whole two hour's of email time on Pday but sadly when I finally decide to use the whole two hours President calls and tells us that we only get one hour today to email family and that Pday is now on Thursday. UHH this week is gonna be crazy. Before I forget to tell you my address is 2223 Baihly Court SW Rochester, Minnesota 55904, so if you want to write or send me stuff that's were to send it.

P.s. Its a whole lot colder that I thought it would be.

  1. I enjoyed reading about your experiences and your goals, all except learning about how you got bruised up. Bummer! I'm glad that you have such a positive attitude about having a number of doctors available to you! I'm also glad that you have such good support from ward members. When I was serving in Montana it was noticeable that when members went with us to a discussion it just went better.

Keep warm. Keep up the enthusiasm. And thank you for the mailing address.

    Lotsa Love,
    Grandma
